Species information

Blechnum neohollandicum   Christenh.

This native groundcover is commonly known as prickly rasp fern.

Blechnum neohollandicum is described as a "fern" in the Blechnaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Doodia aspera (Australian Plant Census). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 18 Fraser Coast localities: Toogoom, Dundowran Beach, Duckinwilla, Bidwill, Magnolia, Teddington, Poona, River Heads, Bauple Forest, Bauple, Tiaro, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Doongul, St Mary, Howard, Takura, Brooweena.
