Only recorded once possibly in the Fraser Coast Region but the location is uncertain with an accuracy of 100km. Reoprted at Talegalla Weir (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/342021340). Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). Previously known as Adiantum whitei. Lamina mostly 2-pinnate. 3-pinnate at the base (Ferns of Queensland a handbook to the ferns and fern allies S.B.Andrews).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
