Pityrogramma calomelanos var. austroamericana   (Domin) Farw. WEED

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as golden fern.

Pityrogramma calomelanos var. austroamericana is described as a "fern" in the Pteridaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Underside of lamina yellow; the basal pair of pinnae about the same size or smaller than the pair immediately above (Ferns of Queensland a handbook to the ferns and fern allies S.B.Andrews). It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 1 Fraser Coast locality: Maryborough.
