Species information

Diospyros pentamera     (Woolls & F.Muell.) F.Muell.

This native tree is commonly known as myrtle ebony.

Diospyros pentamera is described as a "dicot" in the Ebenaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 20 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Howard, K'gari, Mount Urah, River Heads, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Yerra.
