Species information

Dodonaea viscosa subsp. burmanniana     (DC.) J.G.West

This native shrub is commonly known as sticky hop-bush.

Dodonaea viscosa subsp. burmanniana is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

The most common subspecies recorded in the Fraser Coast region. Known as Dodonaea viscosa subsp. angustifolia in Plants of the World Online. (Facilitated by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Published on the Internet; https://powo.science.kew.org/Retrieved 20 February 2025.) 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, K'gari, Magnolia, Point Vernon, Tuan Forest, Urangan.
