Species information

Dodonaea viscosa subsp. viscosa     Jacq.

This native shrub is commonly known as sticky hop-bush.

Dodonaea viscosa subsp. viscosa is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Only one recent record in the Fraser Coast region on K'gari (Fraser Island). See Dodonaea viscosa subsp. burmanniana which is the most common subspecies in the region. Reported at Eurong https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/103288326 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 9 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Burrum Heads, Dundowran Beach, K'gari, Point Vernon, Poona, Scarness, Toogoom, Urangan.
