Species information

Drosera lunata     Vahl

This native groundcover is commonly known as tall sundew.

Drosera lunata is described as a "dicot" in the Droseraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Includes previous Drosera peltata (Queensland Plant Census 2015). Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/111185025 Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 13 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burgowan, Cherwell, Duckinwilla, Maryborough, Poona, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Walligan.
