Species information

Entolasia stricta     (R.Br.) Hughes

This native groundcover is commonly known as wiry panic.

Entolasia stricta is described as a "monocot" in the Poaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 41 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Aramara, Bauple Forest, Beaver Rock, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Burrum Heads, Cherwell, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Granville, Great Sandy Strait, K'gari, Maryborough, Maryborough West, Mount Urah, Paterson, Poona, Prawle, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Susan River, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Urraween, Walkers Point, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondunna, Woocoo, Yerra.
