Species information

Philotheca difformis subsp. smithiana     (Benth.) Paul G.Wilson

This native shrub is commonly known as small-leaved waxflower.

Philotheca difformis subsp. smithiana is described as a "dicot" in the Rutaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Eriostemon difformis subsp. smithianus (Australian Plant Census). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Howard, Pacific Haven, River Heads, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Torbanlea.
