Species information

Ficus watkinsiana     F.M.Bailey

This native tree is commonly known as green-leaved Moreton Bay fig.

Ficus watkinsiana is described as a "dicot" in the Moraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Distribution outside of Fraser Coast region, south of Kin Kin and north of Townsville (G.J. Harden, H.R.W. Nicholson, W.J.F. McDonald, N.J. Nicholson & T. Tame 2014. Rainforest Plants of Australia - Rockhampton to Victoria). Recorded at Woowoong National Park just to the north-west of Fraser Coast region. Observed In Great Sandy National Park south of Rainbow Beach (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/78963673). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Paterson, St Mary, Yengarie.
