Species information

Allocasuarina luehmannii     (R.T.Baker) L.A.S.Johnson

This native tree is commonly known as bull oak.

Allocasuarina luehmannii is described as a "dicot" in the Casuarinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

An uncommon species in coastal areas. Recorded just to the north near Woodgate in the Bundaberg region. Indicative of solodic soils with extremely poor internal drainage (Maryborough Elliott River Land Use Study). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/177138216 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Pacific Haven, Walliebum.
