Species information

Oxalis corniculata     L.

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as creeping oxalis.

Oxalis corniculata is described as a "dicot" in the Oxalidaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 25 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Booral, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Gigoomgan, Granville, Gundiah, Howard, K'gari, Maryborough West, Point Vernon, Prawle, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinnanbar, Urraween, Walkers Point, Wondunna, Yerra.
