Species information

Schoenus apogon var. apogon     Roem. & Schult.

This native groundcover is commonly known as fluke bogrush.

Schoenus apogon var. apogon is described as a "monocot" in the Cyperaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 14 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Beaver Rock, Beelbi Creek, Boonooroo Plains, Duckinwilla, Granville, Maryborough West, Poona, Sunshine Acres, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Tuan Forest, Walliebum, Walligan.
