This native shrub is commonly known as red pea bush.
Bossiaea rupicola is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Recorded at Mt Walsh just outside the Fraser Coast region boundary. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/181329249. Elsewhere only recorded at Kroombit Tops west of Miriam Vale and south of Boonah near New South Wales Queensland border.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
