Species information

Urochloa humidicola     (Rendle) Les & S.W.L.Jacobs

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as creeping signal grass.

Urochloa humidicola is described as a "monocot" in the Poaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Habit is stoloniferous (https://www.tropicalforages.info/text/entities/urochloa_humidicola.htm). In Kew Plants of the World Online known as Urochloa dictyoneura. 

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
