Species information

Urena lobata     L.

This introduced shrub is commonly known as urena burr.

Urena lobata is described as a "dicot" in the Malvaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 24 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Craignish, Dundowran Beach, Howard, Island Plantation, Kawungan, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Toogoom, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Walligan, Wondunna.
